Early morning in a bed that wasn’t mine, I found a hot lass beside me. The night before was a blast and that morning felt more awesome. I saw her leaning towards me about to breathe something to my ear. I was expecting a sweet good morning from her. “You know what; everything was great last night except that, well, you snore a lot”. It was a major bummer and I should have expected it.

One of these days, someone will find out that I snore. But nobody complained, so I didn’t care much about it. This was the first time a date of mine complained after sleeping with me. In majority of my “sleepovers”, the girl fell asleep first.

Changing sleeping positions is no longer an option. Anticipating it and trying to psych myself all proved useless. I tried a snoring pillow, sleeping on either side of the bed and using pillows when I’m alone. But if you’re in someone else’s bed sleeping with someone, these schemes are useless. You can’t bring your snoring pillow everywhere, nor can you choose positions when you’re already asleep. Sleeping on the side was not an option for me.

I could have tried chin straps but what’s the use? Having some straps shutting your mouth tight doesn’t look too hot and attractive. So chin straps are also a NO for a possible snoring cure. Nasal decongestants worked perfectly fine. However, I didn’t want to damage my liver with too much meds. Herbal tea was also another option. However it didn’t work 100%.

I had to know how snoring occurred, so I did some research. And during the course of my search, I found out that the best solution was exercise and healthy diet with no smoking and alcohol. After burning those calories and cutting down on body fat, my snoring stopped and I was back on top of my game.
